Lori Mraz-Executive Director

New Executive Director
Lori Mraz

The Billiard & Bowling Institute of America (BBIA) has announced the appointment of Lori Mraz as its new Executive Director, effective February 1, 2026. Mraz succeeds Barb Peltz, who stepped into the role following the passing of longtime Executive Director Bill Supper in 2023.

Peltz, who has served the association over the past two years, said it was a privilege to lead the BBIA during a time of transition and expressed confidence in the organization’s future under Mraz’s leadership.

Mraz brings to her new role decades of bowling industry experience, leadership and institutional knowledge. She previously served on the BBIA Board of Directors from 2003 to 2008 and was elected BBIA President in 2007. During her tenure, Mraz played a key role in developing the meeting matrix that continues to be used at the association’s annual convention.

“I truly appreciate the confidence the Board has placed in me, and I’m excited to support the organization in a new way,” Mraz said.

Mraz has been with Turbo 2-N-1 Grips since the company’s founding in 1991. During her long career with Turbo, Mraz has held numerous leadership positions, including serving as president through June 2020. She currently serves as the company’s Director of Marketing.

Widely respected throughout the bowling industry, Mraz is the active Vice Chairman of the International Bowling Museum & Hall of Fame Board of Trustees, a position she has held since 2008. Mraz also has served on the International Bowling Pro Shop & Instructors Association (IBPSIA) Advisory Board from 2005 to 2009, the John P. Gavie Memorial Tournament Committee from 2000 to 2020, and the PBA League Bowler Certification Advisory Board, a national membership program that provides resources and benefits for league bowlers.

“Lori Mraz brings a rare combination of experience, knowledge and passion that will serve the association well as she assumes the role of Executive Director,” said BBIA President Mark Buffa.
