Greetings and Happy New Year!

Logistical information about our 2025 Annual Convention follows, as May will be here before we know it!

While our 2025 event will officially kick off on a Tuesday with golf and the welcome reception, there will be a hospitality suite at the Montreal airport on Monday, May 12th. Roundtrip group transporation will be provided at a cost of $100 per person. The drive from the Montreal airport to the Fairmont Tremblant is similar to last year, approximately 1 and a half hours.

EVENT SCHEDULE

Monday, May 12 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Hospitality Suite at the Montreal Airport Marriott-In Terminal Hotel

An easy walk from the Arrivals terminal, we are pleased to offer a hospitality suite for attendees preferring not to rent a car. The suite will have light snacks and beverages as well as wifi. Once our group has assembled, a motor coach will provide transportation to the resort. The cost is $100 US per person round trip.

Tremblant is approximately 1.5 hours north of the airport. The surrounding village provides a variety of shopping and dining options so no car is needed once there. We will need to know your round trip flight information if you choose this option.

(Note: The cost of parking at the Fairmont is $48.00 CAN per day.)

TUESDAY, MAY 13 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Residents or visitors flying into Canada

A current, valid passport is required. Your airline carrier will ask you for travel and identification documents before allowing you to board the aircraft. Being allowed to board does not mean you have the right or will be authorized to enter Canada. A border services officer will determine whether you can enter Canada when you arrive, by confirming your identity and citizenship.

Make sure you can enter Canada.

There are a number of reasons you can be found inadmissible, denied a visa or refused entry to Canada such as:

• Security
• Human or international rights violations
• Criminality
• Serious criminality
• Sanctions
• Transborder criminality
• Health grounds
• Financial reasons
• Misrepresentation
• Loss of refugee status
• Non-compliance with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA)
• Having an inadmissible family member

Penalties for driving while impaired

If you have been convicted of driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, including cannabis, you may be inadmissible. This means you won’t be able to enter or stay in Canada unless you are issued a temporary resident permit. The processing fee for the permit is $200 CAN, and there’s no guarantee you will be allowed to enter or stay in the country.

Find out more about the penalties and restrictions to entry for impaired driving and cannabis-related crimes, visit:

Please let us know if you have any questions.

We’re looking forward to seeing you all in Canada this May!
