ARLINGTON, TEXAS – Terry Brenneman, owner of Bowlers Supply, Inc., will receive the 2023 Billiard and Bowling Institute of America’s Industry Service Award during the 2023 Convention. What will make this year’s convention and award dinner unique is that it is the first time the organization’s president will be able to see a family member, in this case, father, receive the award. “I am proud of my father,” said BBIA President Andy Brenneman. “I’ve seen firsthand how he has devoted his entire life to the bowling industry.”
Brenneman became hooked on bowling at the age of 10 and started competing regularly at a high level just a few years later. His love of the sport gave him a desire to make a living in the industry, which he has turned into a prosperous career. Terry has been the owner of Bowlers Supply, Inc., York, Penn., since 1968. He also had been a bowling center proprietor of multi-centers as well as a manufacturer when he was a partner with the old Faball Company.
Brenneman has donated thousands over the years to a variety of bowling-related charities and has served on various boards throughout his tenure. An active member of the Penn. BPAA for more than 30 years, Terry has been a member of MUBIG (Multi Unit Bowling Information Group) for the past four decades, where he served as President in 1998. In 2003 he joined the board of the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame and was its treasurer from 2005-13.
“It is truly an honor to have been chosen for this award, especially given the rather impressive list of prior recipients,” said Brenneman. The 2023 convention and presentation of the ISA Award will be held at the Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa in Birmingham, Ala., May 7-11, 2023. Brenneman, who is still active in the industry, is married to Joanne, has two children and is a graduate of George Washington University.
