Arlington, Texas – Bowling competitor/ambassador Bob Hart, of Suwanee, Georgia, has been selected as the 2024 Billiard and Bowling Institute of America’s Industry Service Award
recipient. Hart’s love affair with bowling began at the age of 13, as a pin boy. He honed his skills and by the time he graduated from high school, was a member of one of the top teams in Columbus, Ohio, averaging in the 190’s.

Following a tour of duty as a U.S. Marine, Hart managed a bowling center and later, worked for General Motors. He was a member of the famed beer teams – the Goebel Beer team and later
the National touring Stroh’s Beer Bowling Team.

Hart was a pro shop owner operator and bowling center owner operator, eventually landing at Storm Bowling, where he has been employed for the past 29 years.

Hart credits his time at Storm with enabling him to teach and give back to students, fans, and bowlers of varied abilities.

“Having been in the military (USMC), it has been great working with the National Military Tournaments in Las Vegas over the years. Another one of my favorite events is the Special Olympic programs which I have been involved with for many years.
Hopefully I have given a little back to the many who have given me so much.”

A member of seven bowling halls of fame at the city, state and national levels, Hart is also part of an elite group of bowlers to surpass 100,000 pins at the ABC/USBC National Tournament.
Hart will receive the ISA Award at the 2024 BBIA Convention, May 20-22, at the Hilton Sedona, Sedona, Arizona.
