Dear BBIA Members:
I am very pleased to announce that the 2023 BBIA Annual Convention will take place in Sweet Home Alabama, specifically at the Renaissance Birmingham Resort and Spa and Oxmore Valley Golf course, located on the outskirts of Birmingham, Alabama. The 2023 convention dates will be Monday, May 8th through Wednesday, May 10th. We will be sending the official convention brochure in the coming weeks. While finding a location for the 2023 was no easy task, I do believe that the Renaissance Birmingham Resort will be an incredible host for our convention. The upscale resort property boasts 259 rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, beautiful views, convenient meeting space, and access to the Oxmore Valley Golf course, one of the longest golf courses in the world and a showcase of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. I encourage everyone to go online and check out the amazing Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort.
As discussed at this year's BBIA Convention, hotel rates and food costs have been hit hard by inflation, and this is going to have a noticeable impact on our 2023 convention. However, I am sure that Bill Supper will do his very best to balance costs while making sure that we all have a pleasant experience. The structure of the 2023 convention will remain the same but with a Tuesday start for the opening session and the manufacturer and distributor one-on-one meetings. Once we have confirmed the attendance, we will put together a master schedule for the meetings. I look forward to seeing everyone at the 2023 BBIA Annual Convention in Sweet Home Alabama.
